Nettie Gregory
Nettie, a resident of Lewis County, said her elderly father was once committed to the Weston State Hospital for a brief period of time. He would not stay at his daughter's house, or even the one her and her family built for him in Braxton County. He would run off and move someplace else, until finally one day he left and laid down in a ditch. After neighbors reported this, the police came to pick him up. Nettie said her father told the police "he couldn't get up, so he had them take him to the state hospital, and turned himself in." It turned out he had a kidney infection and wasn't taking care of himself. He was there for a couple months before Nettie and her family got him out.
